Bathroom Tiling, Built To Be Looked At Every Day
Large-format porcelain, natural stone and marble, fitted to a standard that matches a £2,000–£2,500 bathroom: wet rooms, backlit niches, and every cut aligned.
The one room a bad job can't hide in
A bathroom is where a poor tiling job is impossible to disguise: every joint, every cut around a socket or a niche, sits at eye level every single day. That's the standard we build to: large-format porcelain and natural stone, laid with minimal grout lines and every edge finished properly, never covered up with a bead of sealant.
What's included
- Full wet room tiling, including waterproofing (tanking) before a single tile goes down
- Backlit display niches: the detail that makes a bathroom look designed, not just fitted
- Large-format porcelain (up to 1200x600mm and beyond) for a near-seamless wall or floor
- Natural stone and marble, including book-matched slabs for feature walls
- Underfloor heating compatible tiling, fitted correctly around heating mats
- Shower screens, niches and steps tiled to the same standard as the main walls
Timescales
A standard bathroom retile typically takes 2–3 weeks from strip-out to finished grout, depending on size and whether waterproofing and underfloor heating are involved. You'll get a real date with your quote, not a range that could mean anything.

What actually moves the number
A small ensuite and a large wet room with backlit niches and book-matched marble are both “bathroom tiling”, but they're very different jobs.
- The size of the room and total surface area being tiled: walls, floor, or both
- Material choice: porcelain, ceramic, natural stone and marble all sit at different price points
- Layout complexity: a standard grid is quicker than herringbone, mosaic detailing or book-matched slabs
- How much preparation is needed: removing old tiles, levelling an uneven subfloor, or adding waterproofing where there wasn't any before
- Extras like backlit niches, underfloor heating compatibility, or a step-free wet room floor
We walk through all of this on the site visit itself, so the figure you're quoted is the figure you pay.

“Really fantastic service, price and workmanship. I had a list of some quite awkward tiling jobs and all the work was done to a very high standard and for a very reasonable price.”
“They were great from the get go… they were really amazing at cleaning up after themselves and tidying as they go.”
Materials
The three materials behind almost everything we fit.
Three materials cover almost every bathroom we fit: natural stone needs sealing roughly once a year, while large-format porcelain needs none at all. The right one depends on the look you want and how the room actually gets used.
Large-Format Porcelain
Durable, genuinely waterproof, no sealing required, and fewer grout lines at large format (up to 1200×600mm) for a near-seamless wall or floor. The default recommendation for most rooms.
Natural Stone & Marble
Marble, travertine, limestone and granite: every slab genuinely unique. Needs sealing roughly once a year and is softer than porcelain, so it's worth it where the look matters most: a feature wall or a statement floor. Can etch or scratch if acidic cleaning products are used on it.
Ceramic & Mosaic
The practical choice for a smaller area, a niche, or detailed pattern work: easier to cut into shape than porcelain or stone, at a lower material cost. Best suited to walls rather than a heavy-traffic floor.
Method
The same sequence, every project, regardless of scale.
No surprises part-way through. You know what happens next before we start.
Free site visit & quote
We look at the room in person rather than guessing from a phone call, and give you a real price within 24 hours, not a vague estimate.
Specification
We confirm the exact material, layout and any waterproofing or underfloor heating requirements before a single tile is ordered, so there's no mid-job surprise.
Preparation
Old tile removal if needed, levelling an uneven subfloor, and full waterproofing (tanking) in any wet area: the unglamorous work that decides whether the finish lasts.
Tiling, grouting & handover
Precision setting-out, cutting and laying, then grouting and sealing, finished with a walkthrough so you can check everything before we call the job done.

Frequently asked
Questions worth answering upfront.
Sometimes. It depends on how sound the existing tiling is and what's going over it. We'll check on site rather than guess, because tiling over a failing surface just moves the problem, not fixes it.
We fit tiling correctly around underfloor heating mats and work with the systems most electricians and plumbers use locally. The heating installation itself is usually done by a separate trade before we tile.
Porcelain is more consistent, easier to maintain and often more cost-effective at large format sizes. Natural stone (marble, limestone) has genuine one-of-a-kind veining but needs sealing and a little more care. We'll talk through which suits your bathroom and budget honestly.
No. Most bathroom retiles are done with the rest of the house lived in normally. We keep the work area contained and clean up properly at the end of each day.
Grout typically needs 24–48 hours to cure before regular water contact, and sealant a similar window before it's fully waterproof. We'll give you an exact date on handover, not a rough guess.
That's normal. Most people haven't. We'll talk through porcelain, ceramic and natural stone on the site visit itself, with real samples where it helps, rather than expecting you to arrive with a decision already made.
Yes. We stand behind every bathroom we finish. If something isn't right once we've gone, get in touch and we'll come back and put it right.
